Larry has been a pioneer in the advertising and communications industry for over five decades. For twenty-eight years Larry managed, and did mornings on two of Montgomery’s most successful radio stations.  In 1996 he left broadcasting to form his own ad agency, the Larry Stevens Agency.  Larry helps define the overall strategy and vision of the agency, He is responsible for agency business development and helps shape industry thought leadership.
In 2008, Larry successfully transitioned the company into a multi-platform advertising agency specializing in media planning and negotiations as well as full digital services, website design and hosting and every other facet of marketing. In 2009, the company changed its name to SMI Advertising, Inc.  Larry and his daughter, Andrea Ingram are partners in the firm.   The firm now represents 25 plus clients and has expanded under Larry’s leadership to include all digital and traditional services for their clients.

Andrea joined her dad (Larry) in the business in 1997 as she was finishing college. Upon her graduation, Andrea joined Larry full-time as a partner in the firm. Andrea handles the day to day managing the office, as well as handling accounts and doing some of the companies graphic design. Andrea a lives in Wetumpka and has two daughters ages 12 & 17. When she was still in school, Andrea told her dad she had decided what she wanted to be after college. When he asked her what that would be, she said: “I want to be you.” Now some twenty-two plus years later they continue to work together and serve the clients of SMI.
